The ticket size per commitment ranges from €5 million to €40 million. The investment firms we work with are renowned names, show consistent results (based on completed transactions) and manage multiple funds. Our focus is on Europe and North America.

The segments in which we operate are private equity (buy-outs, restructuring, secondaries and co-investments), growth capital and venture capital.

Which investment firms qualify for Marktlink Capital?

At Marktlink Capital, we exclusively select private equity investment firms that specialise in buy-outs, growth and/or restructuring of investments. Welt, which is a part of Marktlink Capital, focuses on selecting venture capital and growth equity investment firms specialised in technology companies. All investment firms we consider are located and active in Europe and/or North America and have a good track record and reputation in the market. Other alternative investment firms, like infrastructure funds, credit funds, real estate funds and crypto funds are not currently considered.

What can Marktlink Capital’s Investor Community do for me as a fund manager?

Through our investment team, GPs not only receive committed capital for their funds, but also gain access to our network of entrepreneurs and our Investor Community: a unique source of market knowledge and a potentially valuable sourcing channel for new platform and add-on investments.

Do I, as a GP, get direct access to the LPs in the Investor Community?

Each year, we organise several formal and informal events for our Investor Community, which you will be invited to. This offers a unique opportunity to present yourself and to come into contact with our LPs. GPs can also request to contact with individual members of our Investor Community directly.

How can the Marktlink Capital investors reach me?

Our investment team plays an active role in facilitating communication between GPs and investors. All communication goes through one fixed point of contact within the investment team.

Why is it important to grant access to private investors?

Adding private investors to your LP base gives you the opportunity to further diversify your own base. This decreases dependency on (existing) institutional investors. The fast-growing non-institutional market is potentially a lot larger than the institutional capital market. Moreover, to GPs, individual investors are an interesting additional LP category. They bring not only capital but also a relevant network, market knowledge and a unique sourcing channel . By granting private investors access as LPs, private markets are becoming more accessible and the asset class can continue to develop, something GPs contribute to.
